A tragic ATV accident in Lidsdale, New South Wales, has claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy and left two girls injured, prompting an investigation by police and an outpouring of sympathy for the families involved.
Emergency services were called to a property on Millers Road, Lidsdale, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, following reports of a serious crash involving a 4WD buggy. Officers from the Chifley Police District attended the scene, where they were informed that the vehicle had rolled over, ejecting one of the passengers and trapping them underneath.
Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics immediately began lifesaving efforts, including CPR, in an attempt to save the teenager’s life. The injured boy was transported to hospital; however, despite the efforts of emergency responders and medical staff, he sadly died shortly after arrival.
The driver of the vehicle, a 14-year-old girl, and another 11-year-old girl passenger were also injured in the crash. Both were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further medical attention. The extent of their injuries has not been publicly released.
